Missing Leeds girls, 13 and 14, prompt urgent police appeal amid concerns for welfare

Police are searching for two teenage girls after they disappeared from Leeds.

Charlotte Hewitt, 14, and Daisy Bo Collins, 13, went missing from the on Friday morning with police saying they received reports raising concerns for their welfare.

Officers believe the girls may have travelled out of the area. issued an with their descriptions and said: "Charlotte is described as 5ft 2ins tall, slim build, with brown wavy shoulder length hair."

They added: "Daisy is described as 5ft 3ins tall, medium build, with long light brown hair and dark blue eyes." In response to the alert, social media users have shared their well-wishes. One person wrote: "Come on sweetheart go let someone know you're okay it's a scary out there for you both.

Another user said: "Hope they get soon. Bless them and their family." A third person added: "We hope Charlotte and Daisy are both found safe and well. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the two girls."

Another one commented: "If you are reading this Daisy/ Charlotte, please come . We want to help you. You matter." In an additional appeal on , police said: "Have you seen missing Charlotte Hewitt, 14, and Daisy Bo Collins, 13, from Leeds? Thought to be together and may have travelled out of the West Yorkshire area."

Over in North Yorkshire, from Malton. Victoria, 34, was last seen at an address in at 9am on Monday 30 September, and has not spoken to her loved ones since.

Further footage showed her walking towards the play park on Riverside Walk at 12.30pm. The sighting prompted search efforts which included divers. “We must accept the significant possibility that Victoria has entered the river," officers said.

Chief Fiona Willey said: “Over the past 14 days we have carried out extensive inquiries to try and locate Victoria. Our focus remains on the area of the last sighting and where Victoria’s possessions were found close to the River Derwent.

"To assist with our search capability, we are utilising search from Northumbria who are specialised in searching for people. The dogs and their handlers are highly trained and are deployed to scour areas that run alongside the River Derwent. In addition to this, we continue with expert-led searches by land and water involving multiple teams, including our force drone unit.”
