On the rail routes where these trains are running, the seats are always full and the number of passengers is increasing continuously. In such a situation, the Railways has decided to increase the number of coaches in many Vande Bharat trains.
What is the new plan of Railways?
The Railway Board has decided that by increasing the number of coaches in some Vande Bharat trains, more seats will be provided to the passengers. Till now, some trains were running with 8 coaches and some with 16 coaches. Now the Railways has decided to increase the number of coaches in three trains from 16 to 20 and four trains from 8 to 16. This change will not only provide more seats to the passengers, but will also make ticket booking easier. A Railway official said that after this upgrade, the old 8 and 16 coach racks will be used to start Vande Bharat services on new rail routes. This means that in the coming time, Vande Bharat trains will run on more routes.

Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central (train number 20631/32): Earlier 16 coaches, now 20 coaches
Secunderabad–Tirupati (train number 20701/02): Earlier 16 coaches, now 20 coaches
Chennai Egmore–Tirunelveli (train number 20665/66): Earlier 16 coaches, now 20 coaches
Madurai–Bengaluru Cantt (train number 20671/72): Earlier 8 coaches, now 16 coaches
Deoghar–Varanasi (train number 22499/00): Earlier 8 coaches, now 16 coaches
Howrah–Rourkela (train number 20871/72): Earlier 8 coaches, now 16 coaches
Indore–Nagpur (train number 20911/12): Earlier 8 coaches, now 16 coaches
What will be the benefit to the passengers?
