Dharmendra, Agastya Nanda & Jaideep Ahlawat's Ikkis Release Date Out; Clashes With Kantara 2

After working with Amitabh Bachchan in several iconic hits including Sholay, Chupke Chupke and Ram Balram, Dharmendra is now all set to work with his grandson Agastya Nanda in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming biographical drama Ikkis.

Also starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Ikkis is set against the backdrop of the Battle of Basantar during the India vs Pakistan war of 1971 and is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal PVC who was martyred at the age of 21.

The film was earlier announced with Varun Dhawan in the lead role.

Produced by Maddock Films, Ikkis releases on October 2, 2025 and recently the makers made the announcement with a special promotional video.

The Box Office Clash

Considering Ikkis is now releasing on October 2, 2025, the film will clash at the box office with Kannada pan-Indian epic Kantara 2 titled Kantara Chapter 1.

Directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, Kantara Chapter 1 is a prequel to 2022 film Kantara which is currently the second biggest grosser of Kannada film industry.

Now, Kantara Chapter 1 is expected to take the spot and even has a shot at challenging KGF: Chapter 2 which is currently the top Kannada grosser and is amongst the top 10 biggest Indian grossers of all time.
