New Delhi [India], October 27 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party over the alleged attack against him during a foot march, and challenged the BJP to contest elections against him.
AAP had alleged that Kejriwal was assaulted by "BJP goons" during a 'padyatra' in Vikaspuri on Friday.
Attacking the BJP, the former Delhi Chief Minister asked, if the party wanted to 'kill' him. Kejriwal further said he has no greed for power.
Addressing a public gathering in the national capital, Kejriwal said, "Yesterday I went to Vikaspuri and they attacked me with their goons. Do you want to kill me? If you have the courage, contest elections against me."

"You (BJP) have governments in 22 states. I have built 500 mohalla clinics in Delhi, you should have built 5,000 clinics. I am not greedy for power. I have left the CM chair, I am not worried whether I will come back or not, I am worried that Delhi's work should not stop."
AAP MP Sanjay Singh, who was with Kejriwal said that the people of Delhi will take revenge for this insult of party supremo.

"The people of Delhi are continuously making Arvind Kejriwal win. BJP is nervous and they know that they cannot win in Delhi and that is why sometimes they send him to jail and yesterday they attacked him in Vikaspuri. The people of Delhi will take revenge for this insult of Arvind Kejriwal in the elections," Singh said.
Earlier, Delhi Minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj lashed out at Delhi Police and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the alleged attack on Arvind Kejriwal, accusing Delhi police of not taking appropriate action against the attackers.
Hitting back at AAP, the Bharatiya Janata Party said Kejriwal plays the victim card when questioned by people.
In a self-made video, BJP Delhi Chief Virendraa Sachdeva said that AAP has only three weapons: "Hatasha, Nirasha aur Jhoot ka Prachar."
"Today in Vikaspuri, people had gone to Arvind Kejriwal with the complaint of poor quality of drinking water. They asked him and his MLA to drink that water. Arvind Kejriwal was rattled at the request. He (Kejriwal) is no longer used to leaving the 'Sheesh Mahal' and walking on the streets. When people ask him questions, he calls them attacks by the BJP. Kejriwal, you have looted Delhi in the name of electricity, water and roads, and the public is asking you questions. His MLAs are looting the people of Delhi," he said.
Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in March this year, in connection with the Delhi excise policy case, came out of Tihar Jail last month, after being granted bail by the Supreme Court.
After coming out, in a surprising move, the AAP national convenor announced his resignation from the CM post and said he won't take the position, till the public gives him the "certificate of honesty" by making AAP victorious again in the assembly elections next year. Party leader and Minister Atishi succeeded him as the Chief Minister.
Assembly polls in Delhi are expected to be held in early 2025. Congress could not win a single seat in the Delhi assembly polls held in 2020. While AAP won 62 out of the 70 seats, the BJP secured eight seats in the last assembly polls. (ANI)
