Sri Lanka Women (SL-W) are set to take on India Women (IND-W) in the opening game of the Women's Tri-Nation ODI Series on Sunday, April 27 at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. This is the first tri-series involving Sri Lanka, India, and South Africa and hence, it will be interesting to watch how the tournament unfolds as it kicks off with only five months to go for the ODI World Cup later this year.
The Women in Blue whitewashed Ireland in the ODI series earlier this year at home. Meanwhile, the Lankans lost the ODI series to New Zealand. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will walk into the tournament with a lot of confidence from their previous victories, whereas, the hosts will have the confidence of playing on their own home ground. This will make the series opener a one to watch out for.
