In a dramatic scene on Wednesday morning, a man climbed a high-voltage electric pole in the Yamuna Khadar area, located within the jurisdiction of the Geeta Colony police station in Delhi. His aim?
To secure a conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, and the Chief Justice of India about pressing environmental issues.
Emergency services, including Delhi Police and fire brigade personnel, quickly responded to the situation and managed to bring him down safely.
"At 10:30 am, we received a call about a man who had ascended a high-tension wire pillar. He was demanding to speak to the PM, the CM, and the Chief Justice regarding environmental conservation. It is not clear where he is from as he keeps saying different things," reported Yashwant Singh Meena, an Assistant Divisional Officer with the Delhi fire service.
