If World War 3 happens..., Thyrocare founder voices fear over US participation in Israel-Iran conflict

Send Push
At a time when global tensions are escalating and whispers of World War 3 seem louder than ever, Thyrocare founder Dr A. Velumani has stepped forward with a sobering and deeply personal reflection. Taking to X, Dr Velumani shared his thoughts against the backdrop of the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict. Drawing from decades of personal and professional experience, he remarked that over the last 50 years, he has watched careers, families, and businesses fall prey to the egos of elders—and now sees that same destructive force playing out between nations.

Referring to recent geopolitical developments, Thyrocare founder said the last 15 days have confirmed a harsh reality: ego continues to triumph over humanity. If a third world war were to break out, he warned, the aftermath would be unimaginably painful for all of humanity.

His most chilling observation came with a stark reminder of the human cost of war—not in statistics, but in emotion: the idea of "someone else raising your children" is, in his words, the most painful reality for a so-called civilised society. He urged warring nations to drop their egos and choose peace before it’s too late.

Israel-Iran conflict
The Middle East is facing its most volatile moment in years as a deadly series of escalations between Israel and Iran has drawn the United States directly into the conflict. The violence, which began with Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear and military infrastructure, has now triggered American military intervention, significantly raising fears of a wider regional war.

The crisis began on June 13 when Israel launched a sudden wave of coordinated strikes on key Iranian nuclear and military sites. The strikes were designed to cripple what Israel views as Iran’s growing nuclear capability — a threat Israeli officials have long described as existential.

The assault killed several senior Iranian military commanders and prominent nuclear scientists. In response, Iran unleashed a barrage of missiles and drones at Israel. Although much of the onslaught was intercepted by Israel’s multi-tiered defense systems, some projectiles breached the shield, causing casualties and damage. The conflict has already claimed hundreds of lives in Iran and dozens in Israel, with over a thousand others wounded across both nations.

The US Steps In
After days of intensifying violence, the United States officially entered the conflict. In a nationally televised address, former President Donald Trump announced that U.S. forces had conducted "massive precision strikes" on Iran's nuclear sites. Trump declared the operation a “spectacular military success,” claiming that the Fordo, Isfahan, and Natanz facilities had been “completely and fully obliterated.”

Following the U.S. assault, Iran retaliated with a fresh wave of missile attacks against Israel. Iran’s next steps remain uncertain, but experts warn of the potential for broader retaliation. Iran could target U.S. military bases across the Middle East, obstruct vital oil shipping lanes like the Strait of Hormuz, or escalate its nuclear activities in defiance.
