The Delhi High Court has given a big decision regarding Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The court has said that without her permission, no website, YouTube channel, or online platform can use her name, picture, voice, or any type of AI-generated content.

Delhi High Court order
Justice Tejas Karia, while issuing an interim order, made it clear that the misuse of the identity of celebrities hurts their dignity and honor. The court said that if not stopped immediately, it will not only cause financial loss but will also affect the social image of Aishwarya and her family.
Aishwarya had filed a petition.
The actress had alleged in the petition filed in the court that many websites and e-commerce platforms are selling products using her name and picture. Not only this, pornographic content generated by AI in her name is also being spread on the Internet. The petition said that this is a serious attack on her personal life and reputation.
What are personality rights?
Personality rights, i.e. right to publicity, means that any person has full rights over his name, voice, picture, style or identity. No other institution or person can use it commercially without permission. Aishwarya Rai had demanded protection of these rights from the court.
