Bhiwani: Several posts surfaced on social media alleging that houses of two Muslim families were set on fire over "love jihad" charges in Haryana's Bhiwani area on Sunday, July 6. The entire belongings of the families were allegedly thrown out of the houses and set on fire. The incident reportedly took place in Dhani Mahu village in Bhiwani.
A video of the vandalised homes also surfaced online. However, FPJ could not verify the authenticity of the video. According to reports, chaos erupted in the village after a Muslim man allegedly eloped with a Hindu girl.

After the couple eloped, a panchayat was also reportedly convened. In the video, the belongings of the Muslim families could be seen outside their homes. The video also shows a blaze outside the houses.

It is still not clear whether the Muslim families filed a complaint with the police. Authorities have not issued any official statement over the incident.
Meanwhile, last year in August, a shocking incident was reported from Nagla Shekhu village in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district, where a strangled his 16-year-old sister to death in public after he found out that she was planning to elope with her boyfriend, who belongs to a different faith. The chilling video of the shocking incident also surfaced online.
