Shefali Jairwala’s demise has shocked one and all. While the actress’ Bigg Boss 13 co-contestants attended her last rites and funeral, not many people from Bollywood were there. However, singers Mika Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan attended the funeral. After the cremation, Mika spoke to the media and stated that he is very sad, and when he got the message about Shefali’s death, he thought it was a lie.
Mika said, “Bahot shocking news hai hum sab ke liye. Jab mujhe message aaya, mujhe laga koi mujhse jhooth bol raha hai. Par jitna time uss ladki ne nikala hai, poora stardom ki tarah nikala hai. Main unko 2001 se jaanta ho. Bade saalo tak hum milte rahe hai. So, main bahot hie zyada sad ho. Bhagwan uski aatma ko shaanti de (This is very shocking news for all of us. When I got the message, I thought someone was lying to me. But the time this girl has spent, she has spent like a star. I have known her since 2001. We have been meeting for many years. So, I am very sad. May God give peace to her soul).”

The singer further said, “Bahot jaldi woh chali gayi, just 42 years old. Kya kaaran raha tha? Yeh toh bhagwan hi jaane. But, hamesha hamare dilon mein rahegi, hum hamesha usko yaad rakhenge. Bhagwan unki aatma ko shaanti de (She left very early, just 42 years old. What was the reason? Only God knows. But she will always be in our hearts, and we will always remember her. May God give peace to her soul).”
Mika and Shefali had worked together in a song titled Honthon Pe Bas.

Main sabse yahi request karta ho. Meri Pari ke liye pray kijiyega, woh jaha bhi rahe, khush rahe, shaanti se rahe. Abhi please bandh kar dijiye (cameras) (Please don't make fun or drama. I request everyone. Please pray for my Pari, wherever she is, she should be happy and peaceful. Now please turn off the camera).”
