'Ladke Ka Nai Pata, Ladki Talented Hai': YRF's Saiyaara Starring Ahaan Panday & Aneet Padda Sparks Nepotism Debate

Ananya Panday's cousin, Ahaan Panday, is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the film Saiyaara which is directed by Mohit Suri. The movie also stars Aneet Padda, and on Tuesday (April 22), YRF took to social media to announce the release date of the film. Saiyaara is all set to release on July 18, 2025. While of course there are people who are excited to watch Ahaan and Aneet in the film, netizens are also bashing the makers as they feel once again a nepo kid (Ahaan) is being launched.

While announcing the release date, YRF posted, "Theirs is a love story like no other… #Saiyaara starring @ahaanpandayy and @aneetpadda_ releasing in theatres, worldwide, July 18, 2025!"

A netizen commented, "Nepo kid installment (sic)." Another Instagram user wrote, "Kabhi outsiders ko bhi launch kr diya kro (sic)." One more netizen commented, "Bas right left only stars kids — no respect of acting in Bollywood - that’s the reason from last many years ek bhi amazing movie nahi bani .."

Aneet Padda Fans Happy For Her

While of course netizens are upset with Ahaan's casting, Aneet fans are happy for her. A fan commented, "Ladke ka nai ptaa ladki talented hai... (sic)." One more fan wrote, "Oh my. Aneet is brilliant!"

Is Ahaan Panday A Star Kid?

Ahaan is the son of Chikki Panday who is Chunky Panday's brother. Chikki is not an actor, so we can't call Ahaan is a star kid. However, he does come from a film family background as his uncle Chunky and cousin Ananya Panday are actors.
