The Maharashtra State Government has approved the allocation of 72 acres of government pasture land for a new Veterinary Degree College and livestock farm in Parli Vaijnath, Beed district—a move spearheaded by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
This initiative is expected to bolster animal husbandry and agricultural development in the region. The college, to be established under the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur, will utilize 22 acres in Mouje Loni and 50 acres in Mouje Parli, provided free of cost and without revenue charges.
The decision aligns with resolutions from the Loni Gram Panchayat and recommendations from the Beed Zilla Parishad. Strict conditions govern the use of the land: it is exclusively designated for the Veterinary Degree College and Livestock Farm and cannot be sold, mortgaged, or transferred. The project must commence within three years of land possession, with the government reserving the right to reclaim the land if conditions are violated or if it is needed for public purposes.

This development promises to enhance educational opportunities in veterinary sciences for students in Beed and surrounding areas while ensuring skilled professionals are available to support livestock health and regional agricultural growth.
