Mumbai: BJP leader and former MP Navneet Rana and MLA Ravi Rana have received death threats from Pakistan. They have lodged a complaint at the Khar Police Station and informed the police about the threatening calls. Rana's PA confirmed with FPJ that both have received death threat and they filed a complaint with police.
About The Case
According to reports, the caller from Pakistan said, “We have all your information. You are a Hindu lioness. You are only a guest for a few days. We will kill you. Neither the vermilion (sindoor) nor the one who applies it will survive.” This threat has raised serious concerns about Rana’s safety.
Similar threatening calls were made to her husband and MLA Ravi Rana's mobile phone.
Currently, tensions between India and Pakistan are high. In this context, the threatening call received by BJP leader Navneet Rana has caused considerable alarm. The police have initiated an investigation, and since the threat originated internationally, the Mumbai Police may need to seek assistance from central agencies.
Navneet Rana had received a similar threat from Pakistan last year as well. A threatening clip was sent to her WhatsApp number, warning of her assassination.
