The Active Citizen Council (ACC) has raised serious concerns over the deteriorating condition of the road near Manmohan Sweets Junction on Mansarovar Station Road, following a recent on-ground survey conducted by its members.
Video Evidence Highlights Shoddy Workmanship
According to the ACC, the road which was constructed just two months ago has already developed large potholes, leading to several two-wheeler accidents over the past 2–3 weeks. A video shared by the team highlights the severity of the damage, clearly showing the poor state of the road surface.
Complaint to Be Filed with Panvel Municipal Corporation
The ACC has announced plans to submit formal complaints, along with the video evidence, to the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) and demand urgent repairs. The citizen body has also urged civic officials to take strict punitive action against the contractors responsible for the substandard work.
Citizens Demand Stronger Quality Checks in Infrastructure Projects
“It is extremely disappointing to see such rapid deterioration in a newly built road,” the ACC stated, emphasizing the urgent need for quality control and accountability in public infrastructure projects.
