While we have seen society members argue over issues in societies, members of a Pune society fought violently with each other, and women even thrashed each other and pulled hair during a dispute over the removal of unauthorized construction in the parking lot. The video of the freestyle brawl which took place on April 11 is going viral on social media.
As per the by Sakal, the video is from a society in the Dhayri area of Pune.
In this regard, Anil Daroli filed a complaint at the Sinhagad Road police station. A case has been registered against Mallika Sameer Paygude-Gajare and Sameer Manohar Paygude.
The whole incident took place on April 11 at around 11.30 am.
According to the information received, the complainant has been living in the society in Dhayri, Sinhagad Road area of Pune, for the last 12 years. He looks after the work of the society there as the secretary.
As per the complaint, "Despite being served a notice by the society to remove the illegal construction, no action was taken. As a result, the society held a meeting on April 11 and, with everyone’s consent, decided to remove the structure. After informing the police—who also inspected the site—the society began dismantling the construction."
It added, "During this process, a brawl erupted when accused Sameer Paygude began fighting asking why the construction was removed without tellling them, while Mallika Paygude Gajare started shouting and abusing women present. The situation escalated as Sameer charged at the complainant with an iron rod, pulled the hair of female members, and physically assaulted others. Mallika also reportedly abused and beat the women."
A video of the incident has since gone viral.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Sinhagad Road Police Station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
