By Jitendra Jangid- Friends, on November 13, 2024, there are by-elections in many areas of Rajasthan, which will be an important step towards the development and stability of the state, let us tell you that by-elections will be held for seven assembly seats in Rajasthan, which will be an important political moment in the state. Amidst the election campaign, the possibility of abolishing the new districts is also being discussed. It is being speculated that a decision on this matter can be taken after the by-elections, influenced by the report of the review committee evaluating the districts.
A committee was set up to assess the validity of the new districts. It has been admitted that some of these districts were created without following the established norms.
The review committee has indicated that 5-6 small districts may be dissolved. The discussion is focused on which districts meet the necessary criteria to remain.
Concerns have been raised over the viability of districts such as Dudu, Sanchore, Gangapur City, Shahpura and Kekri, which are considered too small to function effectively.
The demand for new districts in Rajasthan, especially in the desert areas of Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Jodhpur and Bikaner, has been a long-standing one. Many of these areas, which have low population and huge geographical spread, have faced challenges in accessing administrative services.
