Indore. A controversy has erupted over an interfaith marriage between Indore and Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. A young man from Jabalpur and a young woman from Indore have applied to the Collectorate to get married on November 12, 2024, but Hindu organizations and Telangana MLA T Raja have appealed to stop this marriage.

Controversy escalated over Indore girl's marriage to Jabalpur youth

A 27-year-old girl from Indore was having an affair with a 29-year-old man from Jabalpur, Hasnain. Meanwhile, a controversy has arisen over this love marriage. The couple works together in a telecom company and have known each other for 3 years. However, the girl's family has alleged kidnapping regarding this marriage and has demanded to stop the marriage.

According to the girl's family, the girl's suddenly got switched off on 15 October and the next day on 16 October, a letter was received in which it was told that she was getting registered marriage. After receiving this letter, the girl's brother lodged a missing report of the girl in Rau station of Indore.

The young man's father said: 'My son is in Jabalpur, but where? We don't know'

On Saturday, Jabalpur called Hasnain's father Irfan Ansari to the station, who initially said that the boy and girl would be at the station in half an hour, but even after two hours, there was no trace of the two. When the contacted him again, Hasnain's father said that he had no information about this.

Hindu organizations and MLA T Raja came out in protest

MLA T Raja, who is an MLA from Goshamahal seat of Hyderabad, released a video and appealed to Hindu organizations of Jabalpur to stop this marriage at any cost. He warned that if this marriage took place, the girl would be found "cut in the fridge". His statement has further escalated the controversy.

Family's allegation: Was the girl kidnapped?

The girl's family has alleged that their daughter has been lured and influenced by a young man named Hasnain Ansari and efforts are being made to convert her forcibly. On Saturday, the girl's family reached Jabalpur from Indore and lodged a complaint of kidnapping at Sihora station. They said that the girl has been missing for a week and her was switched off on October 15.

Jabalpur administration took action against the marriage

Before this marriage, Jabalpur Additional Collector, in the capacity of marriage officer, has sent a letter to the families of the boy and girl, in which they have been given the right to file objection in the court till November 12. This step has been taken amid growing opposition to this marriage.

Hindu Seva Parishad said the marriage is not legally valid

Hindu Seva Parishad's metropolitan president Atul Jaiswani cited the Madhya Pradesh High Court's saying that according to Islam, the marriage of a Hindu girl with a Muslim boy is not valid. He called it "void" and planned to challenge it in court.

The girl's father's appeal: 'Stop the marriage, there is a fear of conversion'

The girl's father has appealed to Jabalpur Collector Deepak Saxena to stop this marriage. He alleges that Hasnain has influenced his daughter by luring her and is trying to convert her forcibly. The girl's father has expressed serious concern over this matter and has demanded the collector to stop this marriage.
