Travel tips: Mughals had a tough time breaking this fort of India, even ammunition could not harm it

Famous for historical places, India has many grand places, which make India proud in the world. Today we are going to tell you about a fort in India, in front of which Mughals and British had to kneel down.

This fort located in Rajasthan, India is known as 'Lohagarh Fort'. It is called the only invincible fort of India. It is said that no one could conquer this fort. From Mughals to British, everyone accepted defeat in front of this fort.

Lohagarh Fort located in Rajasthan was built by Maharaja Surajmal on 19 February 1733. It took about 8 years to build this huge fort. Also, a special material was used to build this fort. Which protected it from ammunition.

This fort was attacked more than 13 times but no one could conquer it. Clay, lime, sawdust and cow dung were used to build this fort. When the enemy threw shells, the shells got stuck in the walls.

A 60 feet deep and 100 feet wide ditch was built around this fort. Arrangement was made to fill the ditch with water through a canal. Also, crocodiles were released in it. So that the enemy could not cross it.

Lohagarh Fort is present in three parts, which are known as Mahal Khas, Kamra Mahal and Badan Singh Mahal. A museum is also present inside this fort. The ancient idol of Shiva's Nataraja and Shivling are also present here
