While many rivers are plagued by pollution, there are still some rivers around the world that are known for their crystal-clear water and pristine surroundings, let's know about them-
1. Thames River - England
The Thames River in England is one of the cleanest urban rivers in the world today. Once heavily polluted, it has undergone a remarkable transformation thanks to constant conservation efforts.
2. Nile River - Africa
The Nile River, the longest river in the world, flows not through Greenland, but through northeastern Africa. Although some parts of it are not the cleanest, some parts are, it is more famous for its historical and cultural significance.
3. Umngot River - India
The Umngot River in Meghalaya is often called the cleanest river in India. Its water is so clear that boats appear to be floating in the air.
4. Tara River - Montenegro
The Tara River, which flows through Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, is often called the "tear of Europe" because of its incredibly clear and transparent water.
5. Torne River - Finland/Sweden
Flowing between Sweden and Finland, the Torne River is a pristine river known for its pure, fresh water. It is an important part of the local ecosystem.
