During the warmer months, you might spot that certain areas of your garden are crying out for extra attention. If you've got a patio, it could be one of the grubbiest spots, thanks to persistent weeds, moss, and other pesky intruders.
This issue can be even more pronounced if your patio is tucked away in a shaded part of the garden, as the lack of sunlight provides perfect conditions for these garden pests to flourish. However, before you splash out on a pressure washer to tackle the grime, you might want to have a rummage through your kitchen cupboards first.
Experts claim that your patio will 'sparkle' by using a simple and inexpensive household item.

Lucy Steele, a paint specialist from Vaspar Paint, suggests that your garden patio can be completely transformed in just 30 minutes using nothing but white vinegar.
This common kitchen staple, known for its versatility in various domestic cleaning tasks, proves to be just as handy outdoors, reports the Express.
She explained: "White vinegar is not only effective in cleaning patios and removing any stains, but it can also kill weeds in between paving stones too."

Simply mix equal parts white vinegar and water, apply the solution to your patio, and let it sit for about half an hour.
Once the time has passed, give the patio a good scrub with a stiff brush and rinse off with clean water.
For stubborn stains or areas that are particularly difficult to clean, repeat the process, and you should see your patio return to its former glory.
The gardening gurus at BBC Gardener's World also suggest trying out the cleaning solution on a small patch of your patio before tackling the whole area, to avoid any potential damage.
However, if you're using white vinegar to spruce up your patio, be wary.
It can harm or corrode nearby plants, so ensure you protect your greenery from any vinegar splashes and give the patio a good rinse once you're done to wash away any residue.
