There were more worrying scenes on Emmerdale on Friday, concerning character Bear.
Paddy Kirk's father has been acting out of character recently, leaving his loved ones worried. From fiery outbursts, tempers and forgetfulness, we have also seen him struggling with his sleep.
Bear has been lashing out verbally and physically, and there's been instances where he's raging, and then moments later he's completely calm. Amid his mood swings and struggles with his memory, appearing confused at times, he also told Paddy he's frequently needing the toilet.
All of these symptoms as such have left Paddy fearing something is wrong, but Bear has refused to see a doctor. Fans are convinced a worrying diagnosis is on the cards, linked to his health.
Amid theories it could be dementia or something linked to his brain, other suggestions have included prostate cancer or prostate issues, or depression. Something is definitely going on with Bear and soon things escalate, when the character flees the village and goes missing.

In the latest episode a scene sparked concerns once more, as Bear appeared to suffer a funny turn. While it seemed to be a physical issue, something that happened just moments later sparked concern over his mental wellbeing and behaviour once more.
Bear had just stormed out of the pub after having a go at Paddy and Marlon Dingle, when he appeared to take a funny turn and almost collapse. He looked as though he might faint and pretty much fell against a brick wall, clearly trying to steady himself.
His breathing was weird and he didn't look well, before he held his head in his hands. The moment was noticed by Robert Sugden who asked him if he was alright, but Bear downplayed it and shakily told him he was fine.
It's clear he wasn't though and he looked worried, only for Paddy to arrive and apologise for earlier. Paddy didn't notice his dad seeming unwell, but soon Bear fumed at his son again over what had happened in the pub.
Accusing him of "humiliating him" he grabbed him and pinned him up against a wall, screaming in his face. Paddy was clearly unnerved as his dad called him names and lost it with him.
Later, Paddy was shocked as his dad walked in like nothing had happened. Calling their run-in "nothing", he told Paddy to "man up" and seemed to not even realise how aggressive he had just been to his own son.
Paddy was clearly upset but also stunned, concerned something was very wrong with his dad. With Bear's condition clearly worsening, things are set to escalate before viewers learn what is wrong with Bear.
It seems Paddy and others in the village will "miss the signs" according to cast members, as Bear goes missing for weeks. When he returns, there will be something very different about him and it will be clear something isn't right before the truth about what's happening comes to light - so what is wrong with Bear?
