Glastonbury fans 'beg for tickets' after Hollywood legend tipped for secret set

Glastonbury Festival fans are furious following rumours of a secret set from a Hollywood legend, leaving others green with envy for missing the chance to snag tickets. The current line-up already includes headliners like The 1975, , and Olivia Rodrigo, but there is a suggestion that a heavyweight of the silver screen may also grace one of the festival's stages.

It wouldn't be the first time a film star had made an appearance at , with actor and Oscar-nominated having previously performed. Now, rumour has it that another acclaimed actor will entertain crowds with cover songs honouring a musician he recently played.

Speculation over potentially appearing at the festival has split fans of the festival. His recent appearance as in A Complete Unknown has already seen Chalamet, 29, appear on stage to cover songs from the legendary artist. He last showed off his musical skills on Saturday Night Live.

The social media platform X has seen some fans of the actor horrified that they will not be attending this year's festival. One user dejectedly posted: "Why do I not have a ticket AGAIN."

Another added: "The concept of being barricade for Timothée Chalamet." A third wrote: "He heard I was going to Glasto this year."

Timothée Chalamet's presence at Glastonbury remains unconfirmed. However, the previously reported . With speculation flying, the Glasto Thingy, an account known for its posts about Worthy Farm happenings, has hinted that Chalamet's set is unlikely.

While fans are divided on whether Chalamet will actually make an appearance this year, the festival itself has confirmed an event celebrating Dylan.

The homage to Bob Dylan will be spearheaded by Sid Griffin, as indicated on Glastonbury Festival's official site. The Glasto Thingy noted: "I'm not saying Chalamet definitely is not happening, but from the official site."

Some festival-goers are breathing a sigh of relief over the doubt cast on Chalamet's rumoured set, with one commenter hoping against it. They wrote: "Please God, no."

Another person agreed, adding: "Great movie, but please, just don't." Chalamet is known for his dedication to portraying Dylan on-screen, having devoted roughly five years to perfecting the role.

Though he snagged an Oscar nomination for his portrayal, he lost out to Adrien Brody for 'The Brutalist'.

Discussing his immersion into Dylan's character, Chalamet reflected: "I had the time to put the 10,000 hours in, which in a three-month, four-month period you really can't... There wasn't a deadline on it. I wasn't learning for anyone else. I was learning for myself."
