Fun Lovin' Criminals released a statement in November 2021 confirming Huey's depature, writing: 'Huey has officially confirmed his departure from the band. We wish him all the best with his endeavours.

"The road has given me a lot of food for thought. And you know, one of the things I like about what I've done is I can look back on stuff and say, you know, as Frank [Sinatra] said, 'I did it my way'. I produced all my own records. I didn't compromise a damn thing.
"I could have, and kind of sometimes I wish I had, I might have had a lot more money at the end, but looking back, I think I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish.
He added: "You know what funny thing is? When everything started getting s***y with Fun Lovin' Criminals, I left."

He will also be joined by Leon James and Adrian Gautrey.
He added that despite previous issues with his former band, the future is bright. "You know me, I'm a positive mental attitude guy, so I'm really happy the way things are coming together," he said before giving a nod to the "PMA" tattoo on his arm.
