Mickey Rourke left Celebrity Big Brother co-stars 'scared' claims Will Best

Since entering the famous house, Rourke, 72, found himself under fire after a string of comments which were found to be upsetting to not only his housemates but the general public. The Oscar nominee used homophobic slurs during a chat with Chris as he gestured towards former Dance Moms star, JoJo Siwa.

Now, host of the show Will Best claims that some of the across the show, or its spin-off. He also claims that the celebrity housemates had been left "scared" by Rourke's behaviour. During an appearance on , the 40-year-old said Rourke's exit was not "entirely unexpected".

While he doesn't believe Mickey is "evil", he did open up about how some of the housemates were feeling. Will said: "I can't repeat exactly what Mickey said, but it was bad, and it made not just Chris [Hughes] – Chris handled it very well – but it made the rest of the house feel vulnerable, a bit scared."

Reflecting on Ella Rae Wise, Will said it was , before saying it "made her feel understandably vulnerable, and that is the point where you've got to go."

The decision to axe Mickey was decided after he appeared to be aggressive and threatening towards former star, Chris Hughes. During a task, Chris appeared to be looking at Mickey after chat show host Trisha Goddard joked there was a "rat" in the group – with Mickey taking offence.

The 9 and a 1/2 Weeks actor became aggressive, telling Chris: "Don't eyeball me. Don't f***ing eyeball me. You c***. No, your a** will be right there in a second," as he pointed to the ground. After Danny Beard split the pair up, called Mickey into the diary room to tell him that he would be removed from the house.

Apologising, he said: "I did wrong. I apologise. I'm sorry. I can't take it back, you know, I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. 'Cause I lost my temper, and I've been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I'm very sorry.

"I'm ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there. Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset but, you know.

"I'm sorry about that." During the same episode, Ella Rae Wise was left in tears after Mickey made a sexualised comment towards her. After Ella asked him to come with her, Mickey said: "Come in you?" Patsy Palmer then said: "That's what happens, I'm just starting to be his mate and something slips out."

After being called to the diary room, Ella told Big Brother in tears: "It makes me feel on edge. I don't like the jokes. I don't like the sexualised jokes made about me. I'm a young girl. I'm not a piece of meat. He's making people feel uneasy."
