TVS Motor has set a new benchmark in India’s two-wheeler industry by achieving record-breaking sales in August 2025. For the first time ever, the company sold more than 5 lakh units in a single month, strengthening its dominance in the market.

Strong Surge in the Two-Wheeler SegmentThe biggest contributor to this milestone was the two-wheeler category. In August 2024, TVS sold 3,78,841 two-wheelers, while this year the figure jumped to 4,90,788 units.

-
Scooters: Sales touched 2,22,296 units, with a massive 36% growth.
Models such as the Apache series, Jupiter, and Raider 125 played a major role in attracting customers. Their combination of performance, fuel efficiency, and affordability made them the top choices for buyers.
Electric Vehicles and New Launches Boost SalesThe company also recorded strong numbers in the electric vehicle (EV) segment. In August 2025, TVS sold 25,138 EVs, slightly higher than 24,779 units sold in the same period last year.
Adding to this momentum, TVS recently launched its new electric scooter – TVS Orbiter – priced at under ₹1 lakh. With attractive pricing and practical features, the Orbiter is expected to further expand TVS’s EV market share in the coming months.
Festive Season Outlook: Bigger Targets AheadIndustry experts believe that the upcoming festive season will create even stronger sales momentum for TVS. With the demand for two-wheelers already high in both motorcycles and scooters, the company is well-positioned to achieve another record-breaking quarter.
This achievement makes it clear that TVS Motor is steadily cementing its position as the uncrowned king of India’s two-wheeler industry. By maintaining consistent growth across traditional and electric segments, the company is gearing up to challenge rivals like Hero MotoCorp, Honda, and Bajaj in the long run.
✅ Key Takeaway: With more than 5 lakh sales in a single month, TVS Motor has not only broken its own record but also set a new benchmark for India’s entire two-wheeler industry.
