What was the claim being made?
It was being claimed in media reports that the central government has issued an order for two-wheeler drivers, under which they will have to pay toll tax for using the National Highway from July 15, 2025. It was also said in the reports that according to the new rules, two-wheelers will have to pay toll tax through FASTag and a fine of two thousand rupees will also be charged for violating the rules. However, now the Union Minister has given clarification on this and the reports have been denied.
Monthly pass will be made from 15th August
