Michael Fabricant has been shown the door as the very first to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house.
In a fierce bout of public voting on Thursday (April 10) evening, divisive character Mickey Rourke, Coronation Street's Jack Shepherd, and Conservative MP Michael found themselves on the chopping block for Friday's (April 11) eviction.
Alas, it was Michael who faced his CBB swansong as hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best delivered the news that he had to exit the notorious abode with immediate effect due to garnering the least viewer votes.
Upon leaving, Michael broke his silence, expressing to the presenters just outside the residence: "I'm very sad to say goodbye to all my friends. They were lovely people."
Later, Michael opened up to AJ and Will about his difficulties with the nomination process within the confines of the Big Brother house, confessing that he had a last-minute change of heart in the Diary Room because he couldn't justify ousting any of his housemates, reports .
Though there was a mention of soap icon Patsy Palmer commenting on his signature hair, he chose not to delve into that topic with the hosts.
The first week of Celebrity Big Brother has already stirred up controversy in the tabloids after Hollywood's Mickey Rourke received an official warning from Big Brother for homophobic comments aimed at JoJo Siwa, the 21 year old star of Dance Moms, on the night of Wednesday (April 9).
The controversy erupted when JoJo revealed her sexual orientation, leading Mickey to yell across the courtyard, "If I stay longer than four days, you won't be gay anymore."

He then added that he would "tie" her up, which left viewers outraged.
Celebrity Big Brother has been inundated with 89 Ofcom complaints in its opening week, with many directed at Rourke, as confirmed by the broadcasting regulator. On the launch night of Monday (April 7), Rourke immediately caused a stir upon his entrance, leaving audiences stunned by his "vile" actions.
Upon meeting hosts AJ and Will, Rourke's behaviour raised eyebrows as he looked AJ up and down, took her hand, spun her around, and pulled her against him. AJ tried to converse with Rourke, but he persisted in ogling her, prompting her to demand, "Stop looking at me."
His friend Kimberly Hines later defended him, telling The Sun, "Mickey's always loved beautiful women - that has been his downfall his entire life and he was the first to admit it. Beautiful women are his downfall. So he just behaves like a little boy. He just can't help himself."
Celebrity Big Brother airs Sundays-Fridays at 9pm on ITV1.
