Glastonbury's headliners this evening were British pop-rock band The 1975, who graced the Pyramid Stage at 10.15pm following on from Biffy Clyro's electric set, which warmed the huge crowd up. However, fans who were watching The 1975, headed up by frontman Matty Healy, were left disappointed as they claimed their BBC iPlayer was "glitching".
One person said on X: " Omg @BBCiPlayer please fix your Glastonbury stuff, it's constantly stopping etc." Someone else asked: "Does anyone else's BBC iPlayer keep on glitching?? Trying to watch Matty Healy."
A third fumed: "A quick question for the BBC... why's your iPlayer crashing at a crucial time?" Meg added: "No, BBC iPlayer please stop freezing. All I wanted to do was watch the 1975 at Glastonbury."
Express.co.uk has reached out to the BBC for comment.
Another viewer remarked, " I'm really enjoying watching Error Code 04105 on iPlayer #Glastonbury." Someone else raged, "I just downloaded TikTok for the first time EVER solely because it's the only working live stream of the 1975 at Glastonbury right now."
Despite the backlash aimed at the broadcaster, it appeared to be working fine for other viewers who heaped praise on the headliners. Someone said: "The 1975 are the best band in the world #Glastonbury."
The band, which belted out their biggest hits such as Love Will Keep Us Together and Shining Star, were the first headliners of this year's festival. The others include pop powerhouse Olivia Rodrigo and Neil Young as well as Sir Rod Stewart who will perform on the legend slot on Sunday.
Four school friends make up The 1975, which comprises singer Matt, bassist Ross MacDonald, guitarist Adam Hann, and drummer George Daniel.
During their set, Matty said: "For the first time in my life, I don't know what to say. Will you sing with me?"
While they performed live, Neil's Saturday Pyramid Stage set will not be broadcast live "at the artist's request".
Glastonbury footage is available to watch on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two.
