The agent of Altay Bayindir has been at Carrington this week to discuss the future of his client at Manchester United. The Turkish player, who was signed from Fenerbahce for £4.3million, has been playing second fiddle to Andre Onana since joining Old Trafford in September 2023.
Bayindir hasn't featured for the Turkey national team since a 3-0 loss to Portugal at Euro 2024 and his agent Sefa Seyrek is eager to clarify the goalkeeper's role for the upcoming season as United continue to entertain the idea of signing a new shot-stopper.
Despite Onana's disastrous form, the 27-year-old only made 10 appearances across all competitions last season and wasn't given a fair chance to replace the Cameroonian as Ruben Amorim's first choice.
Bayindir, who reported for pre-season training on Thursday, also turned down several offers from Europe to remain with the Red Devils in January, however, there have been recent enquiries about his situation.
While United would consider reasonable offers for Onana, they're currently focusing on enhancing their options at the top end of the pitch.
Third-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton inked a new one-year contract extension last month.
