Oasis were met with a chorus of boos during their comeback show at Manchester's Heaton Park - and Noel Gallagher wasn't having any of it. Just before launching into D'You Know What I Mean, Noel took a moment to address the crowd - only to be cut off by jeers from some audience members. Not one to let the moment slide, he snapped back with a sharp three-word retort: "Who you booing?" The call-out drew cheers from the rest of the crowd, with Noel staring down the hecklers before kicking off the track.
Though it turns out the drama was football-related. The reunited Gallagher brothers had walked out to a hero's welcome earlier in the night, hand in hand, with the Heaton Park crowd roaring in approval. But midway through the set, Liam brought the show to a halt with a bold dedication. "I'd like to dedicate this to the greatest manager of all time, Mr Pep Guardiola," he said.
Unsurprisingly, the mention of the Manchester City boss triggered boos from sections of the crowd, with some clearly backing rival clubs.
Liam, never one to let hecklers go unchallenged, snapped: "Who you f*****g booing, who you f*****g booing?" - earning even more laughs and cheers from the crowd.
A life-size cardboard cut-out of Pep, complete with a Manchester City scarf around his neck, was also wheeled onto the stage, adding fuel to the fire.
But the stunt ultimately landed well with most fans, as Liam powered straight into a fiery rendition of D'You Know What I Mean.
Backstage, the football-meets-rock crossover continued, as Guardiola himself was spotted posing with members of the Gallagher family, including Noel's daughter and Liam's sons.
Earlier in the evening, Noel paid tribute to true Manc legends - dedicating a moment to The Royle Family creators Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash.

"This one's for Caroline and Craig," he said, before launching into a stripped-back acoustic version of Half the World Away, the beloved sitcom's theme song.
Support acts also brought their own surprises, with Cast inviting a mystery guest onstage during their set, while Richard Ashcroft delivered a heartfelt nod to Manchester's music heritage during his performance.
Meanwhile, fans without tickets made the most of the night, too. Locals reportedly soaked up the sound from nearby gardens, turning their backyards into unofficial gig spots as the music echoed across the city.
Oasis '25 kicked off in style last week with two shows at the Cardiff Principality Stadium. The tour continued today in their home city with the first of five shows in Heaton Park. The UK was hit with glorious sunshine for the first show in Manchester tonight.
The band created the sound of a generation when they skyrocketed to stardom with the release of Definitely Maybe in 1994.
The group continued their incredible success with the subsequent releases of (What's the Story) Morning Glory, Be Here Now, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, Heathen Chemistry, Don't Believe the Truth and Dig Out Your Soul.
