A woman has been accused of "witchcraft" after demonstrating how to fold a fitted sheet flawlessly.
Australian influencer Maddy Macrae posted a video on her TikTok account making a jest about how fitted sheets invariably end up in a crumpled ball when attempting to fold them at home.
However, at the beginning of the clip, Maddy could be seen actually folding the sheet impeccably, which resulted in her comments section being inundated with enquiries from viewers asking how she managed it.
The surge of comments prompted her to create an explanatory video demonstrating the precise steps she followed.
In the footage, she explained: "The other day I posted this video, but ironically, in the beginning of the video I could actually fold the fitted sheet.
"And so naturally the comments were full of people asking me how I did it, so this is how I fold the fitted sheet."
The initial step Maddy took was locating one of the corners of the fitted sheet, before inserting her hand into it with the corner turned inside out.
She then located another corner and repeated the same process with her other hand.
Maddy explained: "Then you make those corners kiss and I flip one side over the other.
"You can put it [the sheet] down for this, but I just let it float and find the other side and do the same.
"I kind of like wiggle my hand in there until the two corners kind of are nestled into each other.
"Then if you hold on to the outside of those corners, you will see that we now have a square.
"You can just fold it this way, but I like to place it down onto a flat surface, and here I'm just folding both sides into the centre.
"Folding it in half, folding that in half and then folding it in half again.
"And that's how you fold a fitted sheet, aka witchcraft."
Commenters told the influencer she had "changed their life" while others accused her of witchcraft.
One user exclaimed: "WITCH!!!"
Another chimed in: "That's magic! You're a magician!"
A third shared: "I once told a guy on a date I had just learned how to fold a fitted sheet. He was not impressed. It's clear we did not have a second date."
Another wrote: "This changed my life."
