Volodymyr Zelensky reignited his war of words with on Thursday when he accused the US President's special envoy of "spreading Russian narratives" about the war in . The Ukrainian President made the claim as European leaders and Donald Trump's top team met in to continue efforts to end the conflict.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the president's special envoy Steve Witkoff travelled to the French capital for discussions after weeks of US efforts to broker a ceasefire in the war-torn nation.
Mr Zelensky said: "I believe that Mr Witkoff has taken on the strategy of the Russian side. I think it is very dangerous, because he is consciously or unconsciously, I don't know, spreading Russian narratives."
It is not the first time Mr Zelensky has accused Mr Witkoff of parroting Russian propaganda. On Tuesday he hit back against Mr Witkoff claims the key to a peace deal revolves around "five territories".
He said: "Ukraine is a sovereign state, and only the Ukrainian people can speak about its territories."
On Thursday, Mr Zelensky stated Ukraine would not consider discussing territorial concessions until a full-scale ceasefire was established.
David Lammy was also in Paris for talks with Volodymyr Zelensky's head of office Andriy Yermak and Ukraine's foreign minister and defence minister.
The Foreign Secretary's trip to Paris is the latest in the UK's diplomatic efforts on the conflict.
Alongside France, the UK has been working to secure a coalition of nations that would be willing to help defend a peace deal in the event that one is reached.
Ukrainian presidential adviser Andrii Yermak said the Ukrainian delegation discussed the next steps toward achieving a "just and lasting peace" with European partners, including a full ceasefire, the deployment of a multinational military contingent, and the development of an effective security architecture for Ukraine.
State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said US delegates had met President Macron for "talks with European counterparts to advance President Trump's goal to end the Russia-Ukraine war and stop the bloodshed".
