BJP netas pay tribute to Ambedkar on his 135th birth anniversary in Prayagraj

Prayagraj: On the 135th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, netas and workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday paid tributes to social reformer and political leader by garlanding his statue at different locations across the district.

Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Monday said that BJP-led union and state govts are sincerely realising Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr BR Ambedkar's dreams. He added, "It's only BJP which celebrates the birth anniversary of Babasaheb like Parva (festival) as Holi and Diwali." Maurya arrived in Sangam City on Monday to attend functions.

Maurya also claimed that BJP has taken the mool mantra of' sabka saath sabka vikas' from Babasaheb's inspiration. BJP Yamunapar district president Rajesh Shukla said , "BJP has given true honour to Babasaheb".

At the Jasra block campus, ex-MP Rita Bahuguna Joshi said that Babasaheb's motto was 'Hum Sab Bharat Ke Log' (We all are people of India). He used to talk about building the nation and a casteless society.

She claimed that Babasaheb got great respect after the Modi govt came to power and honoured the legacy of Babasaheb throrugh Panchteerth.

BJP leaders said Babasaheb's life was dedicated to the upliftment and development of the poor, Dalits, and deprived society.

MLA Rajmani Kol said that not only the country but the world is also indebted to Babasaheb's power and capability.

Nation-building is happening by providing the power of the constitution. In the city, the BJP workers celebrated Dr BR Ambedkar's birth anniversary at all 1,216 booths in Mahanagar and narrated the constitution. BJP Mahanagar president Sanjay Gupta garlanded the statue of Dr Ambedkar at the High Court crossing and said that BJP workers have the responsibility to make the dreams of Babasaheb true. He also accused rival political parties of seeking votes in the name of Babasaheb, stating that it was the BJP only that is following the footprints and ideologies of Babasaheb.
