BHOPAL: Traffic police issued an advisory in view of the Tiranga Yatra (flag march) scheduled from Roshanpura Square to Shastri Pratima Square on Thursday evening.
The march will be led by the chief minister and is expected to attract a large number of citizens, senior citizens, volunteers, and public representatives.
To ensure a smooth progression of the yatra, the traffic police will implement special traffic diversions from 4:00 pm onwards.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
Traffic police suggested the following alternate routes to minimise inconvenience to drivers and passengers
Vehicles travelling from Jehangirabad to Roshanpura should use the route via PHQ Trisection – Khatlapura Mandir – Purana Machhli Ghar – KN Pradhan – Banganga – Rangmahal Square
Vehicles from New Market heading to Jehangirabad should use Rangmahal Square – Palash Hotel – Banganga – KN Pradhan Trisection – Purana Machhli Ghar – Khatlapura Mandir – PHQ Trisection
Vehicles heading to New City should use the route via Control Room – Court Square – Vallabh Bhavan Rotary – 1250 Square – Link Road No. 1
PARKING ARRANGEMENTS
Parking has been arranged for participants to ensure orderly drop-off and minimise congestion:
For buses: Buses arriving from Bhadbhada will drop passengers at Rangmahal Square and then park at the TT Nagar Dussehra Maidan.
Buses from Govindpura will drop passengers at Malviya Nagar Trisection and park at the MVM Ground and the MLA Rest House.
Buses from the Old City will drop passengers at Banganga and park at the TT Nagar Dussehra Maidan.
Buses from Kolar will drop passengers at Roshanpura or Rangmahal Square and park near the TT Nagar Dussehra Maidan or TT Nagar.
For four-wheelers: Parking is available at the MLA Rest House premises and behind the TT Nagar Stadium on Jain Mandir Road.
For two-wheelers: Parking is arranged near Roshanpura Square (in front of the Quality Restaurant), at the GTB Complex, and near the TT Nagar Stadium.
