Kota: An elderly couple and their 10-year-old grandson were killed after the motorbike they were travelling on slipped on NH-52 in Kota district Saturday afternoon. The three deceased were identified as Om Prakash Rathore (63), a building construction contractor and resident of Mahaveer Nagar in Kota, his wife Babybai (60), and their grandson Yuvraj, a Class 4 student.
The couple and their grandson were returning home from Gopalpura Mataji temple when the accident occurred about 3pm, SHO of Mandana police station, Ajay Sharma, said.
All three sustained fatal head injuries and the elderly couple perished at the scene whilst their grandson succumbed to injuries shortly after arrival at the medical college hospital in Kota, the SHO said.
The three bodies were placed in mortuary for a postmortem which will be conducted Sunday morning, he added.
