Kanpur: Two men allegedly raped a minor girl and threatened to kill her father and brothers in the district. The incident, which took place in February, came to light on Thursday after the the police lodged an FIR on a complaint by the survivor's father.
In his complaint, the girl's father stated that two men from the village raped his 14-year-old daughter twice on the nights of Feb 27 and 28. The police have registered a case and have initiated search to nab the accused. The girl lives with her uncle and aunt in Ghaziabad and had come to the village on Feb 23 to take her high school exams.
Two villagers gave her a mobile SIM card and asked her to call them. They also threatened to kill her father and brothers if she refused to communicate with them. Out of fear, the girl started talking to them. On the nights of Feb 27 and 28, the girl was alone at home when they bothe raided her house and raped her on both the days. Later, the girl told her family about the incident.
Station Officer Aman Singh stated that a report was filed against the accused based on the complaint, and an investigation is underway. "The accused will be arrested and sent to jail soon," he said. tnn
