Woman employee, boyfriend held for theft from pvt firm in Ujjain

Ujjain: A woman employee and her boyfriend were arrested for allegedly stealing Rs 7.5 lakh from a private firm on Kotwali Road on Monday.

The accused woman, Mehrunisha, an employee of the firm, stole the money and handed it over to her paramour, Qutubuddin Attar, a resident of Kamri Marg, the police said.

Company owner Trilokchand Jain lodged a complaint with the police alleging that Rs 7.5 lakh were missing from the firm and raised suspicion on the woman employee.

Both the accused were arrested and the money was recovered from their possession, police said.
