Anupamaa has taken a generational leap of 15 years with a fresh cast in the show. Actors who played the second generation in the cast Nishi Saxena, Nidhi Shah, Kunwar Amarjeet Singh and Gaurav Sharma made an exit from the show. In an exclusive conversation with Times Of India TV, Kunwar Amar got candid about his journey with the show, his bond with Rupali Ganguly and more.

Kunwar Amar opened up about his stint with Anupamaa, he shared, "The time in Anupamaa was amazing, as my pictures can explain the amount of fun we had on the sets. We had become really close to each other, and with all the work we even created so many memories together."

When asked about whether he wishes to continue with TV, he mentioned, "I have been getting offers for other shows and I have been even reciprocating to it and giving look tests but nothing has been confirmed yet. So I can't say I have bagged a new show but have been getting a lot of calls from Television. I am open to it but I have been firm on my decision that I want to only do leads moving further. I have always done the lead on TV and would want to come back with one."

Kunwar Amar further shared why he agreed to play Tapish, "Anupamaa was a show where the ensemble cast had its own storyline and Anu and Tapish represented two different generations in the show. So I was okay about it but moving forward I would want to do only lead roles with TV shows."

Anupamaa's Tapish further shared how he received appreciation from the senior actors on the show, "The most love and appreciation I have received was from all the senior members of the show. The fact that I entered the show midway, I managed to merge into the cast quite quickly. Within a week, it felt like I was a part of the show and it was easy for me to grab the tone and storyline of the show. They felt the transition was smooth enough that they considered me like their own."

On his bond with Rupali Ganguly, "With Rupali ma'am, the bond has been amazing. We hang out together, eat together, gossip and have loads of fun together. If someone catches us having fun offset, the way we used to sit at the table and do masti they wouldn't believe we are the same actors. So yes, Rupali ma'am and I shared an emotional bond. We would share a lot of things with each other and had a common love for dance. I am also missing her, even when I had offs and would get back on set she would rush and hug me and say how much she missed me."
