Sana Makbul shares glimpses from her Air India flight

Bigg Boss OTT 3 winner Sana Makbul, who celebrated her 32nd birthday in London on June 13, returned to India today and shared glimpses of her journey on her social media accounts. The actress opted to fly with Air India following the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash on June 12, which claimed the lives of 270 people, including 241 passengers on board. Since the incident, the airline has faced heavy criticism over its operations. Amid the backlash, Sana extended her support to the airline by choosing to travel to India with them.

The Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actress posted a photo on her Instagram story featuring her boarding pass alongside two female Air India cabin crew members. Expressing solidarity with the airline, Sana captioned the image with a supportive message. She wrote, “We are with you, Air India.”

Sana shared another post and showed a photo of her sprained leg. In a separate post, Sana shared a glimpse of her sprained foot while seated on the flight. The screen in front of her displayed the word ‘Namaste.’ Alongside the image, she wrote, “Welcome Mumbai with a sprained foot.”


Sana was in London to celebrate her 32nd birthday and she was joined by actress Mahhi Vij and Rajiv Adatia. However, news of the actress suffering from liver cirrhosis diagnosis due to an autoimmune disorder, left her fans and well-wishers concerned.

In an interview with the Bombay Times, Sana revealed that around four years ago, she found out that she was suffering from liver cirrhosis. She shared, “My family and dear ones were shaken, and so was I. Cirrhosis is irreversible and after this, it’s a transplant. But I have left it to God.”
