NEW DELHI: Mumbai Indians were dealt a major blow ahead of their IPL 2025 clash against Lucknow Super Giants as star opener Rohit Sharma missed the game after being hit on the knee during practice.

MI skipper Hardik Pandya revealed at the toss: “Rohit was hit on the knee. He is missing out.”

But it was the post-practice visuals that stirred concern across social media.

A video showing Rohit gingerly climbing stairs using his bat for support quickly went viral, sparking speculation about the seriousness of the injury.
