Wrestlers marrying their co-workers isn’t a new thing in the world of professional wrestling. The biggest example of this is WWE CCO and former 14-time World Champion Triple H, and former WWE board member, Stephanie McMahon. Joining this list in 2025 are none other than Carmelo Hayes and Kelani Jordan. Moreover, the couple recently acknowledged their relationship on social media with a heartfelt announcement.
Carmelo Haynes and Kelani Jordan Are Now Engaged to Be Married
Carmelo Hayes and Kelani Jordan made their relationship official on social media and announced that they are not engaged to be married. Jordan took to her X account and revealed that Hayes proposed to her on July 1. The caption of the post read, “I said yesss! And I’d say yes in every lifetime,” with a photo where the couple celebrated their milestone. Multiple WWE stars, including Blake Monroe, Nia Jax, and Lola Vice, have congratulated the couple.
Jordan and Hayes have been in a relationship since 2023. Moreover, the duo has had a successful WWE career so far. Hayes is one of the most talented young wrestlers in the world today, and the company certainly believes in his abilities to shine. This is the reason he has held the NXT title and has enjoyed 2 reigns with the NXT North American Championship.
Moreover, he has also held the WWE Cruiserweight title. ‘Melo’ was brought up to the main roster and currently performs on the SmackDown brand since WrestleMania 40. Although he hasn’t won any singles title on the main roster yet, he was the winner of the 2025 Andre the Giant Memorial battle royal and has had marquee matches against the likes of Randy Orton, and Cody Rhodes, and a best-of-7 series with Andrade.
On the other hand, Jordan has been signed to the NXT brand since August 2022 and has the honor of being the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion. It is safe to say that the power couple has a bright future ahead.
