PUNE/NAVI MUBAI: Probe into the abduction of a heavy vehicle's helper by an SUV driver during a road rage incident in Navi Mumbai on Saturday found that dismissed IAS officer Puja Khedkar 's father, Dilip Khedkar , a retired state govt officer, was in the SUV, police said. Both he and his chauffeur have absconded in the SUV, a Navi Mumbai police officer added. The helper was rescued on Sunday from Khedkar's Pune bungalow, where police reached based on the SUV's number.

Later when they returned with Pune cops, Khedkar had shifted the SUV out and let her dog loose on the premises, which charged at a cop, report Gitesh Shelke & George Mendonca.
