Saudi Arabia: Indian national killed in Jeddah following dispute over illegal substances

An Indian resident has died in Jeddah after being shot during a financial dispute over the purchase of illicit substances , Saudi authorities have confirmed. Two Ethiopian nationals were implicated in the incident, and investigations indicate that both were involved in trafficking prohibited drugs and contraband.

The Jeddah Governorate Police reported that the confrontation began as a disagreement over money during an illegal transaction in a mountainous area. One of the Ethiopian suspects opened fire, critically wounding the Indian man. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he received medical attention, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
