A theft took place at the Uttaradi Math near the Mahishi shrine close to Malur in Theerthahalli taluk on Saturday, April 5 night.
According to reports, unidentified miscreants broke into the math and stole Rs 50,000 in cash along with a laptop. There is suspicion that the theft might have been carried out by someone familiar with the premises.
On Sunday morning, April 6, SP Mithun Kumar visited the math and conducted an inspection. Malur police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
